FIFUSA is an international organization that brings together national futsal federations around the world. Founded in 1971 in São Paulo, Brazil, FIFUSA was the first global structure to manage the development of futsal as an independent sport.
Since its creation, FIFUSA has gone from a Latin American initiative to a multi-level international federation with a presence on all continents.
Under Valery Akhumyan's leadership, FIFUSA strengthened its position in Europe, expanded its sports program and re-registered in the Schengen area (Latvia).
